About the Nefertiti Lift

The Nefertiti Lift got its name from the renowned Egyptian, Queen Nefertiti. She was one of the most famous women of the ancient world and a feminine beauty icon known for her elongated, thin neck. The Nefertiti Lift is a new, non-surgical jawline and neck lift that is specially designed to create the appearance of skin tightening and smoothing.

This procedure is non-surgical as the doctor first applies a topical anesthetic before injecting tiny amounts of Botox into the neck muscles. We will target the group of muscles that run vertically from the bottom of the face to your collarbone since they exert a downward pull on your jawline. Botox relaxes the muscles and cords resulting in a smoother and tighter appearance.

This injected Botox blocks all electrical impulses that cause the facial muscles to contract. When it is injected into the muscles, it temporarily obstructs signals from the nervous system that instruct certain muscles to move.

How to Access Treatment

Before your treatment, you will consult with our Patient Advisor. In your consultation you will discuss all areas of concern, ideal desired results, side effects, current medications you’re taking, and medical history. 

On the day of the procedure, the doctor will use a thin, sterilized needle to inject the botulinum toxin into the muscle band that lies along your lower face, jaw, and neck, spacing the injection sites about a half-inch apart. The Botox will then slowly diffuse into the muscle. 

The Nefertiti Lift often involves multiple injections, but the entire session only lasts for approximately 15 minutes. If you are worried about pain or discomfort the topical anesthetic numbs the injection sites.

Who is Suitable for This Treatment?

The Nefertiti Lift is non-surgical and does not require any general anesthesia. Therefore, anyone can undergo this procedure with minimal risk: 

• Male or Female
• Typical age range is between 30 to 50
• Average or thin weight
• No excessive fat along the jawline
• A natural jawline that lacks definition
• Wrinkling, sagging neck area
• Patients with loose jowls
• Patients who have lost facial weight and are experiencing generalized sagging
• Those who often tense their necks (such as due to stress or other negative stimuli)

Aftercare, Side Effects, and Results

Botox injections are regarded as safe for most individuals, but there are possible side effects to consider. Immediately following the Nefertiti Lift, you could notice side effects comparable to any other cosmetic procedures involving Botox such as:

• Bruising or redness at the injection sites
• Difficulty swallowing
• Weakness in your neck
• Flu-like symptoms
• Headache

However, these side effects should resolve within a day or two. 

NOTE: Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not get Botox injections. Also, patients who had a previous allergic reaction to Botox, should not get a Nefertiti Lift. 

Fortunately, this procedure requires very little recovery and no downtime. However, you should still avoid alcohol 48 hours before and post-procedure and avoid working out for at least a few hours after injections. After 24 hours, you can resume all your regular activities. 

Although you may experience some loss of muscle response immediately after the treatment, there’s no need to worry. Botox often takes several days for the treatment to take full effect. For Nefertiti Lift, it could take up to three weeks to experience the best results. 

On average, Botox lasts anywhere from three to four months. However, results can last up to six months. The longevity of the treatment depends on the dose administered, patient metabolism, and the strength of the injected muscle. 

You will need maintenance appointments twice a year or more to maintain the desired appearance.
