Dr. Jessica Wang is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon.  Dr. Wang also treats patients with glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes, macular degeneration, and other ophthalmic conditions.

EDUCATION

Dr. Wang received her medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. She then completed her internship in family medicine at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA.  Dr. Wang completed her residency in ophthalmology at the New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY.  Prior to her medical career, Dr. Wang graduated from Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA, where she studied math and economics and graduated with honors; cum laude.

Before joining Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region, Dr. Wang treated patients at the Eye Center of America, Bloomfield and Arlington, NJ as well as Ophthalmic Physicians of Monmouth, Holmdel, NJ.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Wang is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Wang is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and the New York Oculoplastic and Orbital Society

VOLUNTEER WORK

Dr. Wang has volunteered extensively.  Key activities included Dr. Wang having treated patients at the Good Shepherd Eye Clinic in Swaziland and having served as an Ophthalmology Translator for various hospitals in China.  Dr. Wang was also a volunteer at Massachusetts General Hospital, MA and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, MA.

In addition to English, Dr. Wang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
