Dr. George O. Stasior received his Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences from Colgate University in New York and his M.D. at the Albany Medical College of Union University. After finishing a residency in Ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, he completed two fellowships: Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, University of Wisconsin and Orbital and Lacrimal Disease, Moorfield’s Eye Hospital, London, England.

Dr. Stasior is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Senior Board Examiner for the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr. Stasior currently serves as a Clinic Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Albany Medical College and is an Associate Fellowship Preceptor for the National American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, Albany, NY.
Dr. Stasior has participated or led dozens of academic presentations and in numerous research initiatives.
Dr. Stasior received the Golden Rule Award 1998: Given to persons who had donated their time and effort to the community beyond the call of duty. Dr. Stasior was recognized as a “Best Doctor” by Capital Region Magazine 2018-2019 and as a “Best Doctor in America,” in the specialty of Ophthalmology, in the Capital Region Living magazine for 2018-2019. Dr. Stasior has been awarded this honor since 1998.
