Valeda Light Delivery System is the first and only Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized treatment for dry aged-related macular degeneration (AMD). Dry AMD is a degenerative disease and may result in vision loss.  While there is no cure for dry AMD, treatment is important. Valeda uses photobiomodulation (PBM), specific wavelengths of low-level light therapy, to stimulate energy production within the eye, resulting in improved cellular health.
