Dr. Howard B. Kushner provides general eye care and co-manages glaucoma, Lasik, ocular disease, inflammation, trauma, retinopathy, laser surgery, and cataracts.

Before joining Ophthalmic Consultants of the Capital Region Dr.Kushner treated patients at Integrative Vision Therapy, Saratoga, NY, Family Vision Center, Saratoga Springs, NY, and in group practice in Latham, NY. He also has worked as a Clinical Reporting Coordinator for NVP Health, Schenectady, NY.

EDUCATION

Dr. Kushner graduated with a degree in Biology from State University of New York (SUNY) Albany. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree at SUNY, State College of Optometry. Dr. Kushner later received a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)  from SUNY Albany.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Kushner is a board-certified optometrist and a member of the American Optometric Association and the NY Optometric Society. He is also a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD)
